Our experiences with Madesolid resins (perhaps a separate page from each contributor with details and photos - maybe of benchmark pieces in comparison with a formlabs resin?)

Details from the manufacturer:

At MadeSolid, we produce proprietary resin materials, some of which are Form1 compatible. Our current Form1 compatible material is a general purpose resin sold under the name MS Resin, which is for sale in Black, While, Blue, and Pink, with more colors in development.

In addition to the selection of colors available, MS Resin offers the advantage of soap and water cleanup as opposed to isopropyl alcohol.

We welcome any feedback from users, both positive and negative, as we are continually working to improve our resins to meet professional standards. Please feel free to have a look around our store or visit our homepage to learn more, ask questions, and provide feedback.

Settings and Printing

We suggest following the usual procedure for printing with Preform and Form1.  Fill an empty vat to the fill line, and treat the resin as normal.

We recommend printing on the "grey" setting in Preform at the layer height of your choosing.  Other settings will work, but the material has been optimized to work on the "grey" setting.

Cleanup Process

After removing prints from the build platform, we find that cleaning the prints off with a paper towel to remove excess resin and then washing them in a solution of warm water and mild detergent (dish soap, laundry soap, dishwasher detergent).

Hardware can be wiped down to remove any residue, and, if necessary, gently cleaned with warm water and mild detergent.

We have found that the best process for cleaning vats between colors is to pour out any excess resin into a clean vessel, and then use paper towel (or similar absorbent material) to soak up any excess left and dry out the vat.

Safety Information

MS Resin is a mild skin and eye irritant.  Gloves are recommended when working with MS Resin, but small amounts can safely be washed off skin with soap and water. For more safety details, you can refer to our Mechanical Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) located here

I had terrible results with this resin on the Form1. The creators of the resin are non-responsive to emails regarding the quality of what they sent us. The resin overcures past the layers and most fine detail on the prints is lost.
It needs to be dialed in for the Form1.

They did contact me and confirmed that there was a problem with the batch of blue resin that was sent out. They are working on a solution to replace the bottles or send an additive. I will post some pictures.
